Lotus Campaign is an innovative nonprofit organization dedicated to changing the paradigm of how we address homelessness by engaging the private real estate and investment communities as partners in the solution. Since launching in Charlotte, North Carolina in July of 2018, Lotus Campaign has facilitated housing for over 350 people at a cost of less than $800 per person per year, invested in our first real estate project in which 20% of the units are reserved for Lotus clients, and traveled across the country advising others of what we are doing and why it matters. Our program shows that Lotus Campaign’s model works and is replicable in other communities. Lotus Campaign is a seeking a creative, entrepreneurial, and team-oriented individual to serve as an intern.
Summary of the Grants Research Intern Position : Lotus Campaign, Charlotte, NC is seeking individuals to fulfill an important and meaningful role as we pursue grant funding for our programs. In this position the individual will be immersed in our grant research work. The individual will provide essential research for the development of our grant application strategy and may assist with producing grant proposals. The individual filling this position will work with the Director of Philanthropy.
Responsibilities could include:
•Researching available and applicable grants
•Data entry and time-lining for grant proposals
•Research, retrieval and assembly of background material for grant proposals
•Assist with producing grant proposals for submission
Position Requirements:
•Goal driven individuals with non-profit or other volunteer experience or a desire to gain such experience
•Strong time-management, organizational, and internet research skills a must
•Ability to self-motivate, stay on task and work independently
•Excellent writing, verbal communications, and interpersonal skills
•Proficiency with Word and Excel
Position Location:
•Orientation to Lotus Campaign and position instruction will be conducted via Zoom on first day of assignment.
•Weekly Zoom meetings will be held for further instruction and progress check-in.
